There were a lot of new things added to Minecraft in previous updates but unfortunately, had little to no use. For example, copper and tuff blocks were added way back in the game but barely had any use. It almost felt as if these blocks were an afterthought and not something Mojang Studios had planned properly.

Thankfully, the Tricky Trials update has made the two blocks more usable. The copper and tuff blocks finally got variants such as chiseled copper, copper grate, copper door, and trapdoor. For the tuff block, we got tuff stairs, slabs, walls, and chiseled tuff. The new variants make the blocks more usable for building.

Apart from the block update, the game also got two new armor trims and pottery shards. Armor trims were added to the game with the Minecraft 1.20 update and it enabled players to make new variations of armor that look unique and help them stand out from the crowd. The Tricky Trials added two new armor trims called ‘Flow’ and ‘Bolt’ armor trims.

Not just that, there are two new pottery shards as well with the ‘Guster’ and ‘Flow’ patterns. Pottery shards were also introduced in the game in previous updates and it is great to see Mojang Studios building upon it.

Perhaps the most important new feature that came with the game was the trial chamber. These chambers are labyrinth-like palatial structures that contain rare loot and dangerous mobs that players have to defeat.

Getting to the trial chambers requires players to get the trial chambers explorer map. This map can be obtained by trading with the cartographer and upgrading them to journeymen. So the Tricky Trials update gave the cartographer a new trade as well.

Apart from improving the already present features, the update has added a ton of new content to the game such as the mace, the bogged, the Breeze mob, and some improvements to the Nether portal as well.
