After months of waiting, the Minecraft Tricky Trials update is finally available across all platforms. This means you can download it for PC, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation, and all mobile devices, including Android and iOS.

Here's how to download the update via the APK file on Android devices.

  • Open the Play Store application on your Android smartphone. This is where you can download all the upcoming updates for Minecraft Pocket Edition.
  • Search for 'Minecraft' and wait for the results to pop up.
  • Select 'Minecraft' from the list and open the page. The first option will ask you to either update the game or uninstall it. Select "Update." If you have not installed the game on your device already, install it. Minecraft is a paid game, so you will need to buy it first.
  • That's all. Once the installation is completed, you can load the game and start playing the Tricky Trials update on your mobile device.
  • Make sure that the update has been downloaded. When you open the game, look at the bottom of the screen to see if the version number says "1.21."

What features are there in the Minecraft 1.21 update?

The Tricky Trials update is bringing a new palatial structure to the game called the trial chamber.

Trial chambers allow players to explore a large underground chamber filled with rare loot items and dangerous threats. These structures will have trial spawners that spawn hostile mobs. While most of these mobs will be the same as those in the overworld, players need to look out for the two new ones: the bogged and the breeze.

The bogged is a variant of the skeleton, just like the stray. However, unlike the stray, which uses arrows to slow down the target, it uses poisonous arrows, which are more dangerous.

Apart from trial chambers, the bogged can also be found in the swamp biome. Another interesting thing about this mob is that players can use the shear tool on it to get two mushrooms. However, there are other safer ways of getting mushrooms in the game other than taking it from a dangerous mob.

The breeze, on the other hand, moves really fast and can deflect any projectile attacks. This means players have to attack it using melee weapons by getting closer to it.

Clearing trial chambers is well worth the effort as they have vaults. The vault can be opened using a trial key, and it contains rare loot items. The loot ranges from diamond armor, weapons, new music discs, and the heavy core block.

The heavy core block can be used with the breeze rod to make the mace, the most powerful weapon in the game.

Players can try all these new features after downloading the 1.21 update.
