Amid the excitement of the new biome, Mojang just announced a community challenge where players can earn exclusive rewards. These challenges are based on the newly-released biome and its mob, adding to the features and items introduced with the update.

As part of the newly launched Pale Garden biome and the creaking mob, Minecraft introduces a unique community challenge where the game's diverse player base must come together and work towards a common goal.

The first challenge is the biome community challenge where the global community of players must place a total of 50 million resin blocks. All players can take part and contribute towards the goal by simply placing resin blocks. Each block placed will go towards the goal — completing this will reward players with a creak emote, allowing them to walk like the eerie creaking mob in-game.

The second challenge is the mob community challenge where players must defeat a total of 75 million creaking mobs. Although the number might seem staggering, the active player count of over 170 million players might just get the job done. Completing the mission will reward players with a sweet creaking mask character creator item.

Players can head in-game to place resin blocks, defeat creaking mobs, and contribute towards the community challenge. Similar to the major orders in Helldivers 2, these quests are a fun and interactive way to keep players engaged and reward them with some sweet loot.

How to participate in the Minecraft community challenge

You can easily participate in the community challenge by heading in-game. Go to an existing or a new world and look for the pale garden biome. Once you find the biome, you must defeat creaking mobs for the first challenge. Additionally, you can also damage the creaking mob to farm some resin.

Take the resin and refine it into blocks. Place those resin blocks to participate in the second challenge.

With an active community of over 170 million players, the challenge might get beaten pretty soon. Drink your suspicious stew and get your hands dirty to earn these sweet rewards that you flaunt in-game.
