The developers of Minecraft are constantly working to improve the title in every aspect. New updates generally add exciting features and items, while fixing bugs to make the game run smoothly. However, Mojang Studios sometimes takes longer than expected to add basic functionalities that should have been included in the first place.
Players who own the Bedrock Edition will know how difficult it's been to pause their game. This was because nothing would come to a standstill in the blocky world even with the pause menu on. Players could even take damage when on the pause screen, even in single-player game mode. However, the latest Beta and Preview have fixed this issue.
The Minecraft Bedrock Edition game can now be paused. This means everything in the world stops and gamers do not have to worry about finding a safe place to prevent being attacked in-game. Here’s everything about the feature.

Minecraft Bedrock gets a single-player pause feature
For years, Minecraft Bedrock players were challenged with avoiding danger, even when they were not playing the game. Pausing it would bring up the pause screen, but everything would still run in the background despite them not doing anything.
This was a major issue considering how dangerous the blocky world can be, with hostile mobs even attacking players during the day. Pausing the game during nighttime was even more challenging: gamers had to be inside their base or worse, dig a hole and hide in it.
According to the official release notes, this feature can be turned on or off from the settings in the general section of the pause menu. Players can also visit the game's official feedback page and share their thoughts about this addition.
Apart from this long-awaited feature, the Beta and Preview have added many other changes to the game, including mobs such as the Creaking. For instance, the mob will now crumble if their Creaking Heart is deactivated through commands.
Also, these hostile mobs will no longer play ambient sounds when they are aggravated. The sounds will be audible only when they are idle.
Another interesting addition is the profanity toggle feature. Players have complained about censoring some words even in single-player games. The toggle allows gamers to filter profanity or let it pass with the exception of some potentially harmful words. Players now have more control over their game world and activities, which is a great move by Mojang Studios.
