A Minecraft player and Redditor named u/Jim_Guy1 recently posted a short video on the game's subreddit. In the clip, the user could be seen attempting to trap an enderman in a boat to kill it. However, due to a bug, the mob ended up teleporting and attacking the player, despite being in the boat.
The player was in their first Hardcore world, and the post’s caption expressed their confusion and frustration with the unexpected bug.
In response to the video, u/X1Kraft stated that this is a known bug in Minecraft, registered as MCPE-182432. It causes the enderman to appear in a boat on the client side. On the server side, the mob teleports and starts attacking the player.

u/Justin2478 jokingly suggested that the enderman sent its soul to strike back at the original poster after its body became trapped.
Meanwhile, u/brabbers shared relief in not being familiar with the boat-trapping trick, adding that they always place a two-block-high ceiling to avoid being attacked by endermen.
u/VladStark, on the other hand, expressed sympathy for the original poster, noting that if the house had been just two blocks high, the player would have been safe. They further said the bug was the real issue and that this is why they avoid playing in Hardcore mode.
u/ralphsquirrel questioned the purpose of Hardcore mode. They said if they wanted their world to "go away" when they died, they would simply delete it. According to them, this would prevent unfair glitches from ruining their experience.
The various bugs of Minecraft Bedrock Edition
Minecraft Bedrock Edition is the most widely available version of the title. It is known for various bugs that can disrupt gameplay. These glitches range from minor visual issues to more serious ones that affect survival in the game.
One common bug involves mobs and items disappearing for no apparent reason, leading to lost resources and even player deaths. Another frequent issue is players dying unexpectedly due to invisible enemies or from falling through solid blocks.
Some bugs impact game mechanics, such as broken redstone circuits and malfunctioning commands, which can hinder players’ ability to build complex structures.
These bugs have caused significant frustration among players, as dying from a glitch feels unfair and ruins the Minecraft experience. It’s worth noting that it took Mojang Studios over a decade to introduce Hardcore mode to Bedrock Edition, and it seems more time might have been needed to address all its issues.
