How to make a book in Minecraft
You can easily make a book in Minecraft. Before crafting a book in Minecraft, make sure you have these resources:

- 1 leather
If you do not have leather, you can craft one leather by collecting four rabbit hides. Once you have collected four leather hides, place them in the format shown above.
If you do not have paper, you can craft one paper by collecting three sugar canes. Once you have collected three sugar canes, place them in the format shown above.
After you have collected or crafted these materials, here's how you can make a book:
- Open the crafting table and place three papers on the top row.
- Just below the row, place one leather as shown above to craft a book.

How to use books in Minecraft
Books have many uses in Minecraft, ranging from simple crafting to complex enchantments. Here are the uses of books in the game:
1) Book and Quill
Books can be used to craft a Book and Quill, which is an important item used for creating the Written Book. This item can be placed on a Lectern as well.
You can craft a Book and Quill using 1 book, 1 ink sac, and 1 feather. Place the three items in the format shown above to craft a Book and Quill. This is an interesting item where you can record your journals, write your experiences, or leave a funny message for your friends.

2) Bookshelf
One of the most obvious uses of the books is to create a bookshelf. These blocks can be used to improve the enchantments applied with an enchanting table when placed around one. Fifteen bookshelves can be placed around an enchanting table for maximum buffs.
To craft a bookshelf, you will need three books and six planks. You can combine any type and number of planks to complete this build. Place the books and three planks in the format shown above to craft a bookshelf.

3) Enchanting Table
Perhaps, the most important use of the books is in crafting an enchanting table. The enchanting table is a powerful block used to spend experience and lapis lazuli to enchant a host of items like weapons, armor, tools, and books.
To craft an Enchanting Table, you will need one book, four obsidian, and two diamonds. Place the items listed in the format shown above to craft the enchanting table.

If you have a good reputation with the village, a librarian villager can throw books at you under the Hero of the Village effect.
