Minecraft has been popular for over 15 years and counting. Despite the game industry being very competitive, the sandbox title has managed to stay relevant and fun with regular updates. But one of the most prominent and rather infamous additions was the Caves and Cliffs update.

Caves and Cliffs was notoriously late in adding content that was announced for Minecraft. It was announced way back in 2020 and then got split into two parts with the first part being released in 2021. But the update had many promised features and items missing.

Finally, after four years of announcement, the Caves and Cliffs update will finish this year. Here’s everything about it.

Minecraft will finally get bundles

Many of the features from the Caves and Cliffs update were missing during the launch, but none of those were as missed as the bundles. The bundle was an interesting addition to the game that allowed players to carry different items while just taking one inventory space. Bundles are quite similar to shulker boxes but very easy to obtain.

Something like the bundle was a highly requested item and players were beyond excited to finally get it. But Mojang Studios did take time to add it to the game. The developers revealed that they are working on making the bundles intuitive to use.

While bundles were present in the Java Edition, they could only be accessed via an experimental data pack. Bedrock Edition did not even have this option, and since most of the platforms such as consoles, iOS, Androids, and Nintendo have this variant, a lot of players could not access bundles.

This naturally led to a lot of frustration among players with many asking whether the Bedrock Edition was holding the Java Edition back in terms of updates and features. However, players can rest as Mojang Studios announced that bundles will be added to the Bedrock Edition as an experimental feature in upcoming Beta and Previews.

This still means players will have to enable experimental features or get access to the Preview version of Minecraft on consoles to use bundles. However, the good news is that by the end of 2024, bundles will be available across all devices.

It has certainly been a long wait, and hopefully, other features that are announced in the future will not take such a long time to be finally implemented.
