Minecraft will soon receive The Garden Awakens Drop — a small update from Mojang that features the new Creaking mob and Pale Garden biome. Additionally, the biome will offer all kinds of new building blocks and items to use in the game. The main attraction will be the new wood-like creature that will attack players when they are not looking at it.
While it will naturally spawn in Pale Garden at night, there is a trick for players to create their very own Creaking with blocks. This makes the Creaking the fourth Minecraft mob that can be created with blocks, the other three being Iron Golem, Snow Golem and Wither boss mob. Here is a simple guide to making a Creaking from scratch.
Steps to make a Creaking mob in Minecraft
1) Gather required resources

First, players need to collect all the necessary resources to create the Creaking mob. The first step is to get at least nine resin clumps and four pale oak logs. These blocks and items are essential since they will create three blocks that can be stacked to create the new wood-like creature.
Resin clumps can either be farmed by hitting a naturally existing Creaking mob in the Pale Garden. When hit, the Creaking's heart — a block in one of the pale oak trees — will secrete resin around itself. Another method to obtain resin clumps is to loot woodland mansions that have a small chance of having the new item as chest loot.
The pale oak logs can be obtained by chopping down pale oak trees in Pale Garden. Another method to obtain them is if a wandering trader is selling pale oak saplings, which can be bought and planted to grow a new pale oak tree anywhere.
2) Create a block of resin and the creaking heart
Once the resources are obtained, players must first create a block of resin by placing all nine resin clumps in each crafting slot on the crafting table. This block of resin can then be placed at the center of the crafting table once again, accompanied by two pale oak logs above and below it. This will create a creaking heart block.
As the name implies, it is the main block through which the new Creaking mob lives. Hence, the creature does not take any damage when attacked directly since its heart is outside its body.
3) Place creaking heart with pale oak logs and wait for night
Once the creaking heart block is made, players can simply place one pale oak log, the creaking heart and then another pale oak log on top. They need to make sure that the orientation of each block is vertical and that the creaking heart has an orange hue to it, which means it is active.
After the blocks are placed, players can simply wait for nighttime for the spooky Creaking to spawn.
