Minecraft fan shares interesting concept idea for a crocodile mob

The addition of new mobs in Minecraft makes the game more interesting. However, it takes Mojang Studios a good amount of time to add them. Thankfully, players are always ready with detailed concepts and ideas for potential new mobs that the developers can always check to get some inspiration.

A Minecraft player and Reddit user named u/kvadratkub054 posted an interesting image on the subreddit of the game. It showed the concept art for the crocodile mob. Mojang Studios had held a mob vote in 2018 for the Chinese version of the game. One of the contender mobs was the alligator. While this image was not the official design, it does show how great a crocodile mob would be.

u/Themooingcow27 stated that even though it is not the official concept, it very well could be. The design also complies with Mojang Studios’ new policy of not killing animal mobs to get resources. u/CreepyGuardian03 said that the jaw trap shown in the image could work to hold mobs in place.

u/ajtct98 said that they like this idea and Mojang Studios desperately needs to add some more mobs to the Swamp biome. Currently, there is not much to explore in the swamp biomes, even after the developers added the bogged mob to it. u/ClearSmile700 also mentioned that they love the idea of the crocodile mob.

u/Hazearil asked what would be the use of the reptilian helmet shown in the concept image. The image showed that crocodile scutes can be combined with turtle scutes to make the reptilian helmet. u/Fuzzy_Huckleberry suggested that the reptilian helmet could be the stronger version of the turtle shell helmet.

Since the turtle shell helmet is equivalent to the iron helmet in terms of durability, the reptilian helmet would be like the diamond helmet. u/Aura_103 said that the helmet could have passive thorns as well.

Minecraft is finally getting the bundles in the Bundles of Bravery update and that’s not all. Mojang Studios also announced the “Winter Drop” which will add a new biome called the Pale Garden. Along with it, the game will be getting a new mob called the Creaking.

The Creaking is quite an interesting addition to the game. It only comes out at night, and players can only defeat the mob by breaking the Creaking Heart. Hitting the Creaking will not damage it. Another interesting mechanic with the new mob is that when the player looks at it, the Creaking does not move.
