The Naturalist Mod is an immersive animal mob that adds tons of new animals to the game. It adds creatures that behave based on ones in the real world and interact with each other, greatly adding to the immersive nature and realism of the title.

The Minecraft Naturalist 2.0 gained popularity quite recently as many players noticed a striking similarity between the in-game hippo and Moo Deng, the viral baby hippo from Thailand. Players rushed to experience this cute and cuddly hippo during their gameplay and they loved it.
The hippo mob in the Naturalist 2.0 mod exhibits behavior similar to a real hippo. Players who wish to have their Moo Deng in-game can breed two hippos to give birth to a baby Hippo.

- Spawn two Hippos in the water
- Feed them melon blocks

The baby hippo is playful and will roam around the world, foraging and exploring. Eventually, it will grow into a full-sized creature. Make sure to avoid hurting hippos or their babies since they will go hostile and start chasing you.

How to install the Minecraft Naturalist 2.0 mod
Minecraft Bedrock edition players can simply head to the in-game marketplace and search for the Naturalist 2.0 mod. Once found, they can purchase and add it to their library. The next time you create a world, you can choose to add the Naturalist 2.0 to your world to access the additional animals.
Minecraft Java Edition players must visit the Curseforge page to download and install the mod using the loader or by adding it manually. Make sure to run it on a Forge or a Fabric instance of Minecraft Java edition since those are the only two servers supported by this mod.
