Pale Garden is the new biome that will be released with Minecraft The Garden Awakens Drop today, on December 3, 2024. It is slated to pack all the other fresh features in the drop, like a new mob, blocks, and resources. After players update the game today, they will get to experience the new biome and all it has to offer.

Here is a short walkthrough for exploring the entire Pale Garden in Minecraft.

Walkthrough for Minecraft Garden Awakens Drop to explore all features

When players first enter a world after updating Minecraft to The Garden Awakens, they will have to locate the new Pale Garden to start finding all the features included. Finding the biome will depend on whether players are in a new or old world.

In a new world, they can either spawn in a random Overworld biome or can directly spawn in the new Pale Garden itself, since Minecraft world spawns are completely random. If they do not spawn in the new biome, they need to travel around the Overworld to keep generating new areas in hopes of finding the Pale Garden.

In an old world, finding Pale Garden can be quite tricky, especially depending on how much a player has already explored the world chunks. If they have traversed loads of chunks before the update, they will have to travel far and wide to load new chunks. This is because, every fresh feature that Mojang releases will only generate new chunks, to keep the old ones intact and safe from getting corrupted.

Pale Gardens can usually generate adjacent to Dark Forests since it is a variant of the existing biome. They can be instantly spotted since the trees and leaves will be completely desaturated.

Exploring Pale Garden during the day

If players are inclined toward exploring the new biome without any immediate threat, they can do so during the day. The Pale Garden is fairly empty, with no regular passive mobs spawning in the area.

The moment gamers enter the region, all other ambient sounds will vanish and even the in-game music will stop. The only sound explorers will hear is of occasional wood creaking. This is the best time to explore most of the new blocks the biome has to offer.

New pale oak trees are generated in this region that can be chopped to get a fresh set of wood blocks. Logs can be crafted into regular wood blocks like planks, slabs, stairs, doors, trapdoors, buttons, boats, etc. Apart from that, new pale moss, hanging moss, and closed eyeblossom flowers can be obtained.

It is worth mentioning that most of these blocks can also be procured from Wandering Trader for a few emeralds, provided the mob's trade list contains these fresh blocks.

Pale Garden spawns Creaking at night

Things will pick up drastically when night falls, since all regular hostile mobs, including the new Creaking mob, will spawn. This will make the biome a tricky place to traverse through.

Creaking is a fresh hostile mob that will hunt players when they are not looking. If it is visible on any player's screen, it will stop in its tracks and not move. Furthermore, it not be affected by any direct melee or ranged attacks, because its heart is outside its body. Creaking's heart is essentially a block hidden in one of the pale oak trees.

Players will need to find the creaking block and destroy it in order to defeat the new wood-like creature. Before that, however, players can keep hitting the new mob in order for its heart block to secrete a new resource called resin.

Resin is a material that will deposit on pale oak trees and can also be collected by breaking Creaking heart blocks. Users can simply utilize any tool or bare hands to break resin from pale oak tree logs.

After collecting all these new items, players can head back to safety to further explore them.

Resin clumps can be smelted into resin bricks, which can then be used to craft fresh resin brick blocks like slabs, stairs, chiseled, and more. These can be used as unique building blocks since they are bright orange and have a new texture.

Resin bricks can further be used as an armor trim color. Players can place an armor piece, armor trim, and resin bricks to paint the armor trim design orange.

It is worth mentioning that resin has a small chance of 44.5% (Java Edition) and 16.1% (Bedrock Edition) to generate as chest loot in Woodland Mansions as well.

In conclusion, this is how players can explore Minecraft Garden Awakens Drop's new features.
