Minecraft players have created countless builds that have sprung from their imagination, but some fans look to real-world inspiration for their creations. Such was the case of r/Hibreck on Reddit, who recently shared their recreation of the Eiffel Tower to the sandbox game's subreddit. Even more impressive was the fact that they built this remarkable recreation in Survival Mode.
Constructed primarily from acacia wood, the tower may not be a pixel-perfect version of its real-world counterpart, but it's a remarkably accurate recreation within Minecraft all the same. Although a few fans weren't keen on a mob farm being nearby and seemingly obscuring the view, they agreed that the Eiffel Tower build itself was incredibly impressive, especially without the use of Creative Mode.

A few players did mention that the Eiffel Tower build seemed a bit out of place on its own and that perhaps Hibreck should build the accompanying surroundings of Paris or at least the tower's plaza. Hibreck didn't respond one way or the other, but it could make for an interesting complement to an already impressive real-world-inspired build.
Even if Hibreck doesn't expand on their existing Eiffel Tower build, it's still an impressive creation that deserves some credit, especially for being built with ordinary resources procured in Survival Mode.
Throwing in shaders also makes the build stand out in screenshots, and it never hurts to give some love to one of the most iconic buildings in the world.
Why real-world buildings make for excellent inspiration in Minecraft
While there's nothing wrong with building interesting Minecraft structures using imagination alone, citing real-world structures as inspiration can be incredibly helpful for both beginner and expert builders. For beginners, having a real-world reference to refer to is an excellent way to help them inform their block choice and placement, ensuring accuracy.
Meanwhile, expert builders can look to the real world to refine their own creative process by absorbing different architectural styles and working to build in-game recreations.
All in all, using real-world inspiration is a fantastic way to create visually compelling builds and help players train their building techniques for future structures.
