Minecraft’s graphics is not its strongest suit. Despite the game being out for over 15 years, it still looks decades old in terms of visuals. Thankfully, talented players devise various resource and texture packs to alter the game however they want. One such texture pack that’s quite popular is Lego.
A Minecraft player and Redditor named u/AlexTesteria shared a couple of GIFs on the subreddit showcasing their 3D animated artwork featuring leaves and fire in the Vanilla version. The Lego shaders and realistic lighting make the animation look even better.
Redditors reacted to the post with an overwhelmingly positive response. u/ARC_MasterReaper said that the leaves animation made them smile. Redditor u/Yuezmell noted that it looks beautiful in the style of Minecraft. They also mentioned how this animation captures the game's blocky essence, giving it a simple and pretty aesthetic.

The original poster stated that they created the Brickcraft resource pack. They also mentioned suffering from a terminal disease, and how this project is their legacy.
u/OnetimeRocket13 asked the original poster about the game's performance with the Lego resource pack, and their PC specs to run it. The OP replied that since it is a Vanilla Edition version, the pack is quite light and easy to run on lower-end computers.
Redditor u/StarPlatinumRequiems claimed the game looks like Legos, and they love it. u/Legeukko claimed that was the point of the resource pack — to make the game look like Lego.
Although impressed, u/EatThatBabylol expressed they aren't sure if their CPU can run it. Redditor u/Yuezmell pointed out that the animations look simple with the bricks appearing and changing colors. There is no major polygon change which indicates that the resource pack might not be too demanding on the CPU.
Lego texture pack for Minecraft
User u/AlexTestria had previously shared some images showing the Lego texture pack they had created. The Brickcraft project alters the way Minecraft looks, adding a plastic texture to the blocks. The results are quite impressive. Lego and Minecraft share some similarities. An obvious similarity is both of them use small building blocks to make different things.
The texture pack can be downloaded from its official page in Curseforge. There are free and paid options. Those interested must keep the render distance low if their PC is low or medium-end.
