Minecraft player discovers cool way to use new wind charged potions

Minecraft finally got the Tricky Trials update on June 13, 2024, and it added a ton of new features and content to the game. From interesting and challenging mobs to new enchantments and effects, the update has changed the game to a large extent. And many players are now trying out the new features and finding out interesting gameplay mechanics.

A Minecraft player and Reddit user by the name of Cleinden shared a nearly 30-second-long video on the game’s subreddit showing a new discovery that they made. The video shows the player being inside a very tight space with a lot of chicken mobs all clumped in one tiny space.

The player then uses the newly added Splash potion of Wind Charging potion, among the four new potions arriving with the Minecraft 1.21 update that gives the wind charged effect to the receiver. A piston is also placed along with a redstone torch and an anvil. When the piston is activated, the player is launched off to perhaps the highest point in Minecraft.

The post garnered a ton of reactions from the game’s community. A Reddit user by the name Worried_Job787 commented saying that they would like to try it out and asked if it can only be done on the Bedrock edition of the game.

playercircuit replied to the comment saying that it might be doable on Java but is certainly more effective on the Bedrock edition as it allows more entity cramming in one place.

dominatorspizza commented saying the original poster should have kept their coordinates on so that everyone would know how high they were launched. Another user by the name of mraltuser commented that this was the first time they saw a contraption using the potion of wind charging.

There was no shortage of jokes as well, as b52kl referred to this video as the original footage of the first human in space, Yuri Gagarin in 1961, owing to how high the player was launched. Manthan007ADS followed the same lines with the space jokes and motivated the poster to join NASA, as his skills would really benefit there.

This is one of many interesting features the Minecraft 1.21 update, officially called the Tricky Trials update, has introduced in the game. The splash potion of wind charging can be made using the wind charge, which is dropped when the players defeat the Breeze.

The Breeze is a new mini-boss that is found in the Trial Chambers. It can move very fast and can deflect all projectile attacks. This means beating it would be very difficult. But the rewards are certainly worth the effort and risk.
