The pale garden biome is a rare, horror-inspired variant of the dark forest biome. It is generated in high inland areas, typically adjacent to dark forests. It is filled with pale oak trees, pale moss blocks, pale moss carpets, and eyeblossoms. Draping from the trees, pale hanging moss adds to the eerie atmosphere.

A unique feature of the pale garden biome is the creaking heart block found in some pale oak trees. When activated at night, this block spawns a hostile mob called the Creaking. The pale garden also has a desaturated look, with its water, sky, and blocks appearing muted. Adding to the atmosphere, no ambient music plays in the biome.

Woodland mansions do not naturally generate in this biome but this might not be the case for long. In the upcoming 2025 game drop, they might be added to the pale garden as well. If a player enters the pale garden while music is playing, it fades into silence, resuming only when they leave.

Unlike most biomes in Minecraft, the pale garden does not spawn passive mobs during the day. At night, however, normal hostile mobs can appear alongside the Creaking.
