Minecraft allows players to build almost anything with the use of different blocks. But many times, some players create something unique in a way that the game did not anticipate. By utilizing different gameplay mechanics, players have created designs that completely change the aesthetic of the game.
A Minecraft player and Reddit user by the name of u/DahCulestDood shared a short video clip on the subreddit of the game showing a unique roof structure they made using squids. While at first, it might seem unconventional to have animal mobs in a building structure, the build looks unique.
The structure is a smooth stone build that has a small puddle of water at the center. With the squids on each of the puddles, their tentacles are passing through the blocks from below. This makes them look like a chandelier that opens and closes.

Reacting to this bizarre Minecraft build, u/AtchedAsWell commented that this structure would be great for a sci-fi build like a transport beam. The moving tentacle does give the structure an alien theme.
u/MilesAhXD commented the same thing suggesting that this structure would be a great fit for sci-fi/fantasy builds.
u/McBruscar stated that the moving tentacles would be good for a loading screen, to which u/Lloyd_lyle replied “Throbber” which is what the rotating circle of a loading screen is actually called.

u/-Redstoneboi- made a lighthearted comment about the name of the official loading icon and u/Donut_Police replied to them saying they had seen many “throbbers” in their life as they had a slow internet connection.

Redditor u/Oske147 asked whether the squids always stayed upright as they wanted to use it as a chandelier in their base. They mentioned that they would also add a soul lantern in the middle. u/STSNOC wondered how the original poster got the squids to stand up straight and remain that way.
Bizarre builds in Minecraft

This is not the first time someone has made something bizarre in the game. Recently, another player used the game mechanics in a strange way to suspend sand blocks in the air with lanterns hanging under them. This was bizarre as sand cannot remain suspended in the air in the real world.
Now that the Tricky Trials update is finally out with different variations of copper and tuff blocks, it will be interesting to see what unique and bizarre builds players come up with.
