While Minecraft allows players to explore their creative potential and create almost anything they want, the game does have many shortcomings that Mojang Studios should fix. Some of its features and gameplay mechanics do not make any sense. One such example is the signboard that allows players to write on it.
The sign board, in the game, can be crafted using different types of wood and supports only simple black text which is often difficult to read. A Minecraft player and Reddit user, ImperialPC, shared a few images on the game's subreddit showing signboards with more text of different sizes, colors, and even symbols.
The original poster also shared a link to a YouTube video on their channel where they explain how this can be done. The video is two minutes long, concise, and easy to follow.

Reacting to this interesting trick, another user, LinnunRAATO, commented, asking whether this could have been done in the game some years ago.
User LuigiMarioBrothers replied to the comment, saying that most Minecraft versions allowed Unicode characters, yet, the way the original poster has managed to create options is great.
A user named Jam_jar_binks shared an interesting in which players can create a texture pack that makes the text size 0, allowing them to write as long as they want. When the texture pack is removed, the text exceeds the signboard and appears like a hologram.
One user named MyHoeDespawned suggested that if players want to write more on the sign, they can always place another signboard. The original poster replied that they should make a tutorial for that as well. While it is true that one can place another sign board, having the text appear in different colors with symbols is always better than another sign board.
Another user, cryonicwatcher, commented that the symbols shown in the post are not ASCII symbols, rather they are Unicode and rich text. The original poster replied to the comment, saying that they were right.
Minecraft needs a lot of fixes
Despite the feature-filled Tricky Trials update being introduced in the game on June 13 this year, there is still a lot to be done. Mojang Studios needs to work on little things, such as the ability to use different fonts on the sign board.
Aside from how the game looks, there's work to be done on how it behaves. The animations are still janky and dated, despite the title getting countless updates. There are great mods that people are working on, such as the Actions & Stuff mod that will be available soon as a fix. However, it would make more sense for Mojang Studios to work on such fixes.
