Minecraft player and Redditor u/ComprehensiveYam267 recently posted a few images on the game's subreddit. The pictures showed the concept for a new biome called the Outback. The color palette and mobs in this biome suggest that it was inspired by Australia. The user also wrote a lengthy comment explaining the details of his creation.

The gist of the Outback is this; the biome will be a warm area in the blocky world, primarily made of red sand with patches of coarse dirt. It will feature unique plants such as scorched grass, eucalyptus trees (which burn faster and spread fire more easily), and shrubs made of eucalyptus leaves. New animal mobs, including kangaroos, koalas, and dingoes — a wolf variant — will be found here.

A key structure in the Outback will be the Target Towers, built from red sandstone and eucalyptus logs. These towers will have the boomerang, a new weapon that can break pots scattered around the structure.

These pots hold special "Target" and "Boomerang" shards. The towers also have target blocks and spires with dispensers that reward players with items, fireworks, or potions for accurate shots.

Reacting to this idea, user u/TGrissle claimed that they want koalas to just drop on players from time to time. Another user named u/xRedditKami asked the original poster to make this into a mod so that others could download and try it in the game.

Redditor u/Jamdowngamezone stated that everything about this idea was amazing. They claimed they would love to play around with all the stuff and explore the biome without any goal. The user also asked if there was a way to pitch this idea to the developers at Mojang Studios.

To this, u/Wonghy111-the-knight mentioned that there is a feedback website where players can pitch their own ideas. Meanwhile, u/ZrteDlbrt found it amusing how people rarely did not know about Mojang's feedback system.

However, Redditor u/Lighterfluid19 added that the developers do not listen to the feedback. Players have been asking for a jungle village for around 10 years. They have also been asking for paper lanterns ever since the bamboo update but nothing has been implemented yet.

More challenging biomes in Minecraft

Minecraft has a lot of biomes, each with unique landscapes, resources, and mobs. While some of them are peaceful and a joy to explore, others are extremely challenging and have danger lurking at every corner.

Despite the numerous biomes already present in the game, players want newer ones that will introduce greater challenges. Areas with stronger mobs, difficult terrain, or extreme weather conditions could make the game more exciting.

The developers recently added the Pale Garden, a new overworld biome that contains the challenging Creaking mob, the eyeblossom flowers, and the resin block. It would be interesting to see what new biomes Mojang Studios come up with this year.
