Minecraft players discuss their favorite mods

While Minecraft has been one of the most popular games for more than 15 years, many players prefer using different mods in the game. Mods completely change the gameplay by adding new mobs, weapons, biomes, and even gameplay mechanics. A massive modding community has developed due to the massive popularity of the game, resulting in no less than thousands of mods, most of which are free to download.

So a Minecraft player and Reddit user, u/XrelicHunterX, asked a question to the subreddit of the game. They asked which mod is their favorite one. The post quickly became a hot topic of discussion as the answers started flooding in.

u/Thunder_God01 commented that Thaumcraft 4 is their favorite mod, although they also like the Create mod. For those who do not know, Thaumcraft is a mod that adds the element of magic to the game. Another user u/Effective_Secretary6 replied to the comment agreeing how good Thaumcraft mod is, especially how it adds big changes to the game without going too far.

u/PWModulation just wrote “Create” indicating their favorite mod. It should be mentioned that Create mod was mentioned multiple times in the thread which goes to show how popular the mod is. User Betadzen replied saying adding the Aeronautics feature to the Create mod would make it extremely powerful.

It should also be mentioned that the original poster shared an image of the Incendium mod which completely changes the Nether. They also mentioned Better End is also great. A lot of players want Mojang Studios to come up with an End Update, adding more items, mobs, and areas to the End dimension.

User Sinnduud said they love the Applied Energistics 2 and Mekanism mods. Both of these mods are for people who want to build some mechanical structure in the game as the mods give a ton of different items to choose from. u/unknownLeopard said Orespawn is their favorite mod. OreSpawn is one of the oldest mods and it adds new weapons and mods to the game.

u/Zealus24 commented on the top three mods they like starting with the Lord of the Rings mod, followed by the Ice and Fire mod, and finally the ever-so-popular Create mod.

There’s no doubt that Minecraft is a fun game to play, but unfortunately, the game’s progression seems a little outdated and boring. It feels as if the possibilities this brilliant game can offer have not been utilized in the Vanilla game. This is where mods come in and make the game much more fun. Even basic mods such as Sky Grid mod completely change the gameplay mechanics by challenging players’ parkour and combat skills.
