The Relics mod, as previously mentioned, adds a number of powerful new artifacts to the game. These have a wide array of abilities, from granting bonus XP to regeneration effects to damaging AoE auras. Additionally, each relic can be further enhanced as it gains XP from you using it. This adds a nice sense of progression and powerscaling to these different artifacts.

All of these buffs and enhancements will require you to use the researching table, the mod's unique workstation. Having to place these artifacts on the table to see how they function also adds a nice bit of immersion to the game. The mod page also boasts that there are random stats for each item, which means that getting the best version of a relic may take a while, further adding replay value.

How to install Minecraft's Relics mod

1) Open CurseForge

The first thing you'll want to do to install the Relics mod is open up CurseForge or one of the other alternative Minecraft launchers that can pull mods from it. Unfortunately, Relics isn't hosted on Modrinth, so players wanting to use it will either need to switch to CurseForge or install the mod manually.

2) Search for "Relics"

Once you have CurseForge open, you'll need to search for the Relics mod. Thankfully, this search term does return the Relics mod by SSKirillSS as the first result. There are also spinoffs that add extra content for other popular Minecraft mods, such as Alex's Mobs and Alex's Caves.

3) Create or add to a modded profile

Hit the orange Install button. This will prompt you to either make a new profile or add the mod to an existing one. The simplest thing to do would be to make a new profile, as there are no other mods to increase instability. However, it can also be added to an existing Minecraft modpack.

5) Launch the game
