The Minecraft Relics mod can be installed using a mod loader. For this guide, we will use Curseforge and its mod loader, a widely popular loader with access to a vast repository of customization options for all instances of Minecraft.
Here's how you can download and install the Relics mod, one of the best mods in Minecraft:
- Head over to Curseforge and download the launcher.
- Once downloaded and logged in, search for the Minecraft Relics mod by SSKirillSS. Alternatively, click on this link to the directory page.
- To manually install the mod, click on the download button and place the zip file in the mods folder by following the instructions since this is a drag-and-drop mod. However, use the Curseforge loader if you aren't familiar with mod installations.
- Click the orange install button which will redirect you to the Curseforge app.
- You will be prompted to create a new instance. You can also choose an existing instance, but going with a fresh instance is recommended since it avoids conflicts with existing mods, shaders, or packs. Name your instance and create it.
- After creating the profile, you will be redirected to the instance. Click the orange play button on the right to launch Minecraft with the Relics mod successfully installed.
If installing the mod manually, here's a list of additional mods and assets you must add to the instance before running this mod:
- CuriosAPI-Continuation or CuriosAPI (for 1.21 and up)
- OctoLib (for 1.19.2 and up)

How the Minecraft Relics mod works
The Minecraft Relics mod adds a host of relics in-game that are spread out across your world. All the relics in this mod are generated in dungeons that are thematically appropriate for each — some are only generated in the desert pyramid or an abandoned mine shaft and require exploration while others can be easily found in the house of a village farmer, hunter, or fletcher.
Each relic in the Minecraft Relics mod can be used on its own or in combination with other relics to boost its powers and uses. The unique MMO-themed system of randomized stats makes the gameplay even more exciting and allows you to fine-tune based on your preferences.
Here are all the relics in the mod:
- Reflecting necklace
- Magma Walker
- Aqua Walker
- midnight robe
- Drowned belt
- Jellyfish necklace
- Hunter belt
- Rage glove
- Ice skates
- Bastion Ring
- Chorus inhibitor
- Space Dissector
- Holy Locket
- Ender Hand
- Elytra booster
- Magic mirror
- Ice breaker,
- Blazing flask
- Spore sack
- Shadow Glaive
- Roller skates
- Infinity ham
- Leather belt
- Wool mitten
- Amphibian boot
- Leafy ring
- Phantom boot
Find these relics throughout your world in various places. Each relic has its own set of powers and multipliers. You can upgrade all of them by researching with the use of experience points and leveling points that you earn as you play the game.
One of the highlights of the Relics mod is that it is compatible with other artifact mods like the Passive Skill Tree mod. The relics adjust their buffs and powers to accommodate any other mods and leveling systems you might have installed in your game's current instance. This makes the Minecraft Relics mod a hugely compatible add-on for your adventures.
