One of the reasons why Minecraft remains very popular even after more than 15 years of its release is because of its community. It is rare to see a game’s community that grows so big with members all around the world. So what happens when some prominent members of this community urge the developers at Mojang Studios to get rid of a feature that has been in the game for 14 years? Surprisingly, they listened.
Minecraft YouTuber and Reddit user Ok_Thing7750 posted on the game's subreddit showing how YouTubers such as Silverthefish, PailofPears, and MeercatToast collaboratively convinced the developer to get rid of a value on the debug screen (F3) of the Java Edition.
Amid information such as position, chunk, biome, sound, etc, there used to be a “B” counter. This was right below the “E” value that showed the number of entities that had been loaded. Interestingly, the B counter always showed a value of 0. This is a useless bit of information that took up space on the already cluttered screen.

Reddit reacted to this post with some hilarious replies. A user named wallyhartshorn jokingly said that soon someone would make a mod to add the B value back. User -_-RSlashFan-_- replied that it would be hilarious if someone actually did it.
User MilesAhXD used a clever pun by saying that “B-fore” the value was removed, all it did was just show a zero as stated in the wiki as well, making it completely useless. Another user named bretttwarwick quipped that B actually showed the number of Herobrine in the game and whoever saw the number go above 0 never survived to tell the story.
MilesAhXD continued the joke by saying that Mojang Studios removes the Herobrine with every update. Bretttwarwick said that even though the developers removed it, the B value was how they kept track of the Herobrine.
Minecraft 24w33a is a hit
Mojang Studios recently released the 24w33a snapshot that made some major changes to the already present items such as Redstone and minecart. It also added the much-awaited bundles to the game. But perhaps the most talked-about and useful change in the snapshot was the minecart improvements.
Finally, Mojang Studios have made minecarts usable by allowing players to tweak their speed, starting from 8 blocks per second to a blisteringly fast 1,000 blocks per second. This means that players can now travel long distances very fast if they can make the railroad network. It will be interesting to see what other changes the developers come up with in the upcoming snapshots.
