Minecraft's Zombified Piglins could soon be getting a nerf, which will drastically affect the XP and gold farms players have made through them. This nerf comes through a bug fix that Mojang will soon release in a future update. This bug has been in the game for nearly a decade and will now be resolved and break gold farms in the Nether made by many.

Here are all the details about the upcoming gold farm nerf through Zombified Piglins in Minecraft.

Gold farms will receive a nerf after changes are made to Minecraft's Zombified Piglins

Zombified Piglins are considered to be a dangerous neutral mob in the Nether. This is because if a player attacked one of them, every other Zombified Piglins would get angry and start hunting the player. Since they are the most common mob in the Nether, their hoard can be tricky to tackle.

However, players soon found out that even if other angered mobs were killed without them attacking, they dropped XP and items as usual. The community had a eureka moment when they thought of creating an XP and gold farm through this mechanic.

A farm was possible to make on the Nether roof, where players would spawn Zombified Piglins, anger one of them by hitting it, and allow other mobs to get angry as well. A corridor can be created through which every angered Zombified Piglin would walk through and then fall to their death.

Since angered mobs dropped XP and items regardless of what killed them, this farm would give players loads of XP and gold nuggets and weapons.

Angered Zombified Piglins will no longer drop XP or items when killed by anything but the player or their tamed wolf

Ever since players noticed that angered Zombified Piglin dropped XP and items when killed by anything, they reported the bug to Mojang on their bug tracker. The bug report has been up for a decade. Now it has finally been updated and resolved.

The report page shows that the bug fix will arrive with an unnamed future update. This means that angered Zombified Piglins will no longer drop XP or items when they are killed by anything but the player or their tamed wolf, which is the case with every other Minecraft.

This will massively affect gold and XP farms that players have created in their worlds since the automatically angered mobs will not drop anything if they are not killed by the players themselves.
