Following the official release date announcement of The Garden Awakens, Minecraft released the 1.21.4 Release Candidate 2. Typically, these are the final versions released before official updates. As such, if there are no major errors, players can expect this release candidate to essentially be the final update that introduces the Pale Garden biome.
The 1.21.4 Garden Awakens Release Candidate 1 added the Popoloca language to the game as part of its diverse linguistic offerings. This will help players who speak the language explore the vast sandbox and interact with the game in their vernacular.
As with all updates, the 1.21.4 Release Candidate 1 also fixes a few bugs to improve the gameplay experience for players. It addressed the issue where resin bricks appeared twice in the "mineable/pickaxe" block tag, and also fixed the problem where the spyglass is held incorrectly when used from the off-hand.
Additionally, the 1.21.4 Release Candidate 2 added a fix to address an issue that caused straight biome borders with the pale garden. The Garden Awakens release candidate is now on all compatible Bedrock and Java edition devices. Players can download it to enjoy the Pale Garden biome and its features ahead of the official release on December 3, 2024.

What can players expect in Minecraft The Garden Awakens update?
The Garden Awakens update primarily introduces the all-new Pale Garden biome, characterized by its unique desaturated Pale Oak tree and its significant lack of flora and fauna (except for the eyeblossoms).
But the most interesting aspect of the biome is the new mob it introduces — the creaking. This unique mob is resistant to all kinds of damage and can only be eliminated by destroying its creaking heart.
Additionally, the update introduces many new elements, such as resin and its family of items, as well as the multiple uses of the nefarious eyeblossom flower.
Players can also expect some surprise additions, as evidenced by the hint that Mojang left in their latest announcement. The Garden Awakens is set to be one of the biggest game drops yet, and players cannot wait to explore the eerie biome and uncover its many secrets.
