Mojang will release The Garden Awakens Drop for Minecraft on December 3, 2024, so players should start preparing for the new update drop. It will feature a new Pale Garden biome, a new Creaking mob, resin brick blocks, a pale wood set, and much more. While players need not do anything special to successfully transfer their worlds to the new update, they can still prepare in many ways.
Here are some ways in which fans can prepare themselves for The Garden Awakens Drop for Minecraft.
How to get ready for Minecraft The Garden Awakens update
Don't explore new chunks

Mojang has explained that every new feature that comes with a new update will only generate a new chunk that a player loads in the world. This ensures that none of the existing chunks suffer a weird generation corruption where old terrain and biomes get mixed with new features.
Hence, players who have old worlds need to travel far and wide to find new features, especially if they've already explored thousands of chunks in that world.
It is that not to explore any new areas and load new chunks before the update. This is because those new chunks could get new features if they are loaded after the update drops, making the lives of players easier.
Practice playing at increased FOV
The new Creaking mob has a unique mechanic that enables it to hunt for players if they are not looking at it. Basically, if the mob is on any player's screen, it will not move and chase the player. Hence, one of the tricks to easily freeze the Creaking is by simply increasing the FOV. This will allow players to walk around while still having the Creaking on the side of their screen so that it cannot move.
Playing the game on the highest FOV, called "Quake Pro," can be slightly hard due to how wide it is. However, players can practice to be on that FOV to make themselves ready to tackle the Creaking at night.
Hold any structure construction
With The Garden Awakens Drop, Mojang will also be adding loads of new building blocks. They are introducing a new material called resin that can be converted into resin bricks for blocks like slabs, stairs, and walls.
Furthermore, the pale oak trees in Pale Garden offer a brand new wood set that will be completely white in color. Like every other wood set, pale oak can be crafted into stairs, slabs, doors, trapdoors, fences, etc.
Hence, players who are in the middle of making a structure or a base could wait for a while and check out new building blocks that they can use to complete their creations in the sandbox.
Wait for the new armor trim color
Those planning to design their armor pieces with armor trim designs could also hold the process and wait for the upcoming update on December 3, 2024. This is because The Garden Awakens Drop brings resin as a new material. This material will form around the Creaking's heart block when players directly hit the wood-like creature. Once resin droplets are formed, they can be obtained and smelted to get resin bricks.
These resin bricks can then be used to add color to armor trim designs, just like other materials like iron, emerald, diamond, and lapis.
Preparation to beat Creaking
Lastly, players must prepare themselves to fight the Creaking mob itself. It is a hostile mob that will only hunt players when they are not looking at it. A previous point about FOV will help players tackle its attack. However, it has another special mechanic when it comes to defeating it.
If players will try to kill the wood-like creature with a direct melee or ranged attack, it won't take any damage. This is because its heart is outside its body in the form of a block. Creaking's heart is located in one of the Pale oak trees.
Hence, when players first enter the Pale Garden at night, they can first kill away other regular hostile mobs, then hit the Creaking a few times to get resin blocks, and then destroy its heart block to fully defeat the new mob.
