One of the most recent of these horror mods is TheBoiledOne. This mod, based off of the entity created by the YouTuber Doctor Nowhere, who specializes in analog horror, is inarguably terrifying.

As previously mentioned, TheBoiledOne aims to bring the entity created by Doctor Nowhere of the same name to Mojang's blocky masterpiece. This Minecraft horror mod's featured mob will stalk you. It will beckon you in with mysterious voices and trumpets, directly pulled from the entity's source video.

TheBoiledOne's visuals are also chilling. The boiled one's design was already quite creepy, being a mangled, desicated, almost-human figure. This strange outline translates incredibly well into blocks, making it look great in the mod.

The entity's glowing red eyes are also quite striking, capable of piercing even the darkest of caves, signifying to you that you're constantly being watched.

Steps to install Minecraft's TheBoiledOne mod

1) Open CurseForge

The first thing you'll need to do to install TheBoiledOne mod is open up CurseForge. This is the only alternative Minecraft launcher that the mod is currently hosted on, meaning you'll need to use it or a launcher able to pull from it. Unfortunately, there's currently not a Modrinth option for those that use that platform.

2) Search for TheBoiledOne

Once you've opened up CurseForge, you'll need to use the search bar located at the top of the screen to search the content browser. Thankfully, the lack of spacing within the mod's name makes it incredibly easy to find. It should be the only search result when "TheBoiledOne" is used as the term.

3) Install the mod

Now that you've found the proper mod, you'll need to install it. Hit the orange "Install" button to the right of the mod's name. This will cause CurseForge to prompt you to either make a new Minecraft modpack for the mod or add it to an existing modded game profile.
