Minecraft Live was held a few days ago and it was an exciting event filled with major announcements and news. Mojang revealed the Bundles of Bravery update that adds bundles and Hardcore mode to the Bedrock edition. The developers also announced the upcoming Creaking mob and the new Pale Garden biome, along with a new tree type called the “Pale oak” tree.

However, after a long wait, the Villager News made a comeback. This segment featured an animated group of villagers trying to explore the jungle after a monster sighting. The villager news was about the Creaking mob. However, it did reveal an interesting fact about Steve.

Minecraft villagers consider Steve a Monster

The animated segment showed different villagers trying to get inside a forest to refute the claim of a monster inside it. These scared villagers try to guess what they could find inside the forest. Some are afraid of zombies while others mention skeletons.

However, one villager pulls up a portrait of Steve, saying that they can also find him there. He is mentioned in the same tone as other monsters and the villagers are afraid of finding him inside the forest. This shows that villagers are just as scared of Steve as they are of zombies and skeletons.

One must wonder why the Minecraft villagers consider Steve a dangerous being. There are many compelling reasons for this.

Firstly, Steve is way more powerful than any villager as he possesses tools, weapons, and armor. Even his tools and armor are enchanted with magic.

Steve can also open portals to different dimensions. No other villager or creature can do the same. Considering that Steve can kill any hostile mob, it is natural for the defenseless villagers to consider Steve as a powerful monster. His appearance is also quite different from the villagers.

Since players usually trade with the villagers, killing them is not difficult. Hence, it is natural for the villagers to consider Steve as a monster. Looking at trading farms, one can understand why villagers are not very keen on considering Steve as a helpful entity.

Coming to the new monster coming to Minecraft, the Creaking Mob will be an interesting addition to the game. The mob does not attack as long as the player looks at it. But attacking it will not do much as the Creaking does not take any damage. To kill this mob, players need to destroy the Creaking heart found in the Pale Garden biome.
