The official title for the Minecraft Winter Drop has been announced, and it perfectly captures everything that is coming with the update. Mojang Studios took to the official handle of the game on X to tweet an image. It featured the Creaking Mob, one of the additions in the Winter Drop. The bottom text said “The Garden Awakens,” the official title of the update.

Minecraft Winter Drop gets the official title

In the X post, Mojang Studios called the Winter Drop “The Garden Awakes,” and this is the perfect name for the update as it encapsulates everything that’s coming to the game. The “Garden” in the title is a reference to the Pale Garden, the new overworld biome that will house all the new items and mobs.

As the name suggests, this biome will have a pale and greyish appearance. The trees here are very similar to the ones found in the dark oak forest. Pale Oak wood is a great item for building houses and other structures. Builders would love it as there were not many grey building block options in Minecraft.

The second part of the title, “Awakens,” is a reference to the Creaking mob that will be found in the new biome. Note that this mob cannot be found during the day. When night falls, the Creaking awakens. Players will have a hard time dealing with this threat as it does not take any damage.

No matter how it is attacked or what weapons are used, the Creaking will not lose any health points. However, it is capable of attacking as soon as a player breaks eye contact. The only way to defeat this hostile mob is by breaking the Creaking Heart that can be found hidden in the Pale Garden forest.

The Creaking Heart is an interesting item. Breaking it will give players resin, which can be put inside a furnace to make the resin bricks. The heart can also be activated by placing it between two Pale Oak logs set in a similar orientation. The activation process will spawn the Creaking mob no matter the biome.
