Minecraft x LUSH collab: All you need to know

Minecraft recently celebrated its 15th anniversary with a ton of new releases, collaborations, events, and the Tricky Trials update along with collaboration with companies such as Pringles, Google, Spyground, and much more. But it seems like the season of collaboration and celebration is not over yet. Mojang Studios took to their official X handle to announce a special collaboration with the popular skincare and personal hygiene brand LUSH to release special bath bombs.

But that’s not the special part about it. Instead of going the usual route and just adding some elements from the game in their packaging material, LUSH has designed their bath bombs to resemble the icon mobs from Minecraft.

What makes it even special is that there’s a free in-game add-on that players can download and try the bath bombs themselves! Here’s everything about the collaboration and how to get the add-on.

Minecraft collaborates with LUSH

LUSH has previously collaborated with other popular IPs, most notably with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It is interesting to see their collaboration with Minecraft as it gives them more ways to integrate with the game. From the images shown, there are more than 10 different bath bombs all featuring some iconic mobs and items from the game.

There’s the diamond pickaxe, the skeleton, the wither skeleton, and the creeper head as well. Then there’s the totem of undying and the well-fitting TNT block.

All these bath bombs, available to buy from August 12, 2024, will have their own unique scent and fizz effects. But that does not mean players cannot get their hands on the digital bath bombs in the game.

Mojang Studios has also released a free add-on that can be downloaded for Bedrock Minecraft. Since these are in-game items, the bath bombs have more pronounced and stylized effects. Players will have to throw the bath bombs in the water to get a very colorful and dazzling explosion. Moreover, you can get it for free, making it a definite purchase.

To download the add-on, head over to the Minecraft Marketplace from the in-game menu, and in the search bar, look for “LUSH bath bomb.” Once the results pop up, download the add-on, and then, from the “Resources and Behavior Pack” menu, activate the bath bomb add-on. That’s it, simple and quick.
