The new Creaking mob recently announced by Mojang for Minecraft's next-to-next update, has a unique health mechanic. As of now, all other mobs can be killed by hitting them with either a melee or a ranged weapon. However, the new mob is invincible while taking hits. This new mechanic is so bizarre that even the Warden, one of the most powerful creatures Mojang has ever released, simply cannot defeat the Creaking.
Let's explore the reason why the new mob, despite having the least amount of health, cannot be defeated by the most powerful creature in Minecraft.

Reasons why Warden cannot defeat Minecraft's new Creaking mob
Creaking's special mechanics explained
Players must first understand how the Creaking mob operates and protects itself from player attacks. The Pale Garden, where the Creaking spawns, has a unique connection with the new creature. Regular melee and ranged attacks from any weapon will not harm the mob at all.
This is because its heart is actually a block hidden deep inside one of the pale trees in the new biome. When hit, a Creaking will instantly connect to its heart and neutralize every attack damage. Only once its heart is located and destroyed will it be vanquished.
While the mob cannot be killed with any attack, it is bizarre to know that it only has half a heart's worth of health, which is essentially the creaking heart block itself. Because of this, the Creaking becomes one of the most intriguing mobs Mojang has ever added to Minecraft.
Warden vs Creaking explored
Even though the Warden's melee and ranged attack can deal eight and three hearts of damage, respectively, the beast simply cannot defeat the Creaking.
The new mob's heart is not inside the mob but outside it as a block, and the Warden cannot attack blocks. The blind monster can only detect the Creaking's sound and starts attacking its body rather than its heart.
Hence, no matter how many times the Deep Dark biome's mob tries to attack the Pale Garden's creature, it will not be able to slay the wood-like entity.
In the video linked above, we can clearly see that the Warden is constantly attacking the Creaking, but the latter does not even flinch since it negates all the attacks with its heart.
Of course, the mob does not attack the Warden either, since it is currently only programmed to be focused on the player rather than fighting other mobs.
