Minecraft's 1.21 update, also known as the Tricky Trials update, has finally arrived. There are still plenty of features and content that Mojang Studios can make now that the Tricky Trials update has been released to the community.
Every player has their idea of what features should arrive in Minecraft's future, but some opinions have been expressed more often than others. With that in mind, we look at some features that Mojang should consider introducing now that the 1.21 update has arrived.

Five features that Mojang Studios should introduce with the post-Minecraft Tricky Trials
1) Seasons
Minecraft's biomes and weather are static. The passage of time doesn't influence either gameplay aspect, but what if it did? Many fans have long petitioned Mojang to introduce the ability for seasons to change over time, altering the landscape of the game's biomes and causing changes in the weather and temperature.
This could help make game worlds feel much more alive and immersive while also helping players come up with interesting seasonal builds that could fit some seasons more than others.
2) Spellcasting
Minecraft certainly has some magic in the game already, typically seen in the enchanting mechanic. However, if the modding scene and countless fan requests on Mojang's feedback site are any indications, enchanting isn't enough, and many players have requested the addition of a spellcasting feature to enhance the overall gameplay experience.
Ensuring that spellcasting could be introduced in a balanced way could be a tall task for Mojang, but if performed well, fans would likely be incredibly thankful for the feature.
3) An ancient city-linked dimension
Ever since their inclusion, ancient cities in Minecraft have remained mysterious, especially due to the strange portal-like structures at their center. Fans have speculated for years that the structure could be the entryway to a new otherworldly dimension somehow connected to the beings who created the ancient cities, and the Warden's connection to this dimension could be explored as well.
A new dimension in the game after so long would likely be a big hit, though it could take considerable time to develop and implement to ensure its success.
4) Creeper variations
Minecraft has several variations for existing mobs like zombies and skeletons, but where are the variants for the game's most iconic and marketed mob? Creepers look the same regardless of where they're found, which seems like a shame when other mobs already have variations that appear based on environmental conditions.
Introducing new creeper variants could even allow Mojang to introduce new gameplay elements for each creeper. Perhaps they don't all need to explode or be hostile, some could even be friendly or beneficial in some way.
5) Bundles
Originally slated to be released for the Caves & Cliffs update, bundles were introduced in some experimental builds of the game but ultimately weren't formally added despite fans receiving it pretty positively. With enough time before the presumptive 1.22 update is announced in late 2024, why not give the community a little treat by adding bundles to the vanilla game?
The alternative seems to be continuing to let this useful storage feature continue to languish in limbo, and any issues with bundles, after they're introduced, can always be fixed later on.
