Creaking is a new mob that was recently revealed by Mojang for Minecraft's next-to-next update or game drop. The developers explained its unique features in their recent live event. The Creaking seemed like one of the scariest hostile mobs the Swedish company would release. Interestingly, its features can be seen in a mod that has been quite famous in the community.
Here is how Mojang Studios officially brought features from the Weeping Angels mod to Minecraft through the new Creaking mob.

Weeping Angels is a Minecraft mod that was inspired by the popular British science fiction series, Doctor Who. In the series, Weeping Angels are a race of aliens that look like statues with wings, but when someone is not looking at them, they have horrifying teeth, wide opened mouths, and will move extremely fast toward their prey.
These creatures were added to Minecraft through this mod and the only way to detect them in the game was by the Timey Wimey detector. These angels will attack a player and can also teleport them to a random place in one of the three dimensions, which can be extremely dangerous.
The main mechanic of them not moving if players are looking at them is exactly like the new Creaking mob coming soon in Minecraft. Hence, it is safe to say that one of the Weeping Angels features was officially added to the game through Creaking.
If players wish to try out the Weeping Angels mod for the game, they can do so by downloading it from the CurseForge website here.
Creaking's other unique features
As mentioned above, Creaking's unique feature of not moving when in sight makes it similar to the Weeping Angels mod for Minecraft. However, the new mob packs several other features as well.
For starters, the Creaking cannot be killed by simply hitting it with any melee or ranged weapons. This is because its heart is not inside its body, but is a separate block hidden deep in one of the pale trees in the Pale Garden. To defeat a Creaking, players must find its heart block and destroy it.
If players desire, they can take the creaking heart block and manually summon another Creaking mob by placing the block between two pale oak log blocks.
