The latest Minecraft Bedrock Realms update allows players to keep settings changes made with in-game commands between sessions. This essentially means that any command you make in one session will be carried over to the next, rather than being reset to normal.
Earlier, if players wanted to continue with certain commands (such as sleep percentage, tick speed, or others), they had to manually enter it again when restarting a session on Minecraft Bedrock Realms.
The only way they could keep these settings was by downloading and re-uploading the world to Realms every time before exiting, which became a hassle for players implementing regular changes as well as for those using command-based activities to run certain processes on their servers.
However, this new update has removed that issue entirely. Players will simply need to change the PlayersSleepingPercentage while on any Minecraft Bedrock Realms, and the changes made will remain even after the server is empty. Minecraft developer @CornerHardMC posted on social media platform X and confirmed these changes, much to the happiness of the gaming community.
They further confirmed that the PlayersSleepingPercentage command can be used without enabling cheats, allowing players to earn achievements while using this new feature. The developer further explained that this new system worked differently from the Bedrock Dedicated Server and that this update was aimed at making the process more straightforward for players.
However, one user pointed out that downloading and accessing Realms files uploaded on Xbox was still not possible on Windows without an Xbox Live subscription. The developer further stated that this would change in an upcoming update. He additionally stated that future updates would also address issues regarding pack settings not staying out of default.
