Minecraft bug reporting system is getting a major change soon

The Minecraft bug reporting system is set to receive a major overhaul this month. Mojang recently announced that it will be migrating from a server form of Mojira to a cloud-based variant, prompting a change of account. The studio further stated that players will have until January 31, 2025, to migrate their account to the new system.
Mojang added that this change was prompted by Atlassian's decision to deprecate all Jira servers and stop support by February 15, 2025. Despite securing an additional year of support last year, the extensive bug-reporting community will have to switch to the new system to contribute to the game's improvement.
Feedback is one of the core aspects of Minecraft, so it comes as no surprise that the bug-hunting community is vast and dedicated, with millions of players reporting issues and discrepancies with the game. However, they will now need to migrate their account to continue contributing to the game's improvement.

How to migrate your account to the new Minecraft bug reporting system
Players with an active account on the existing Mojira server system will be asked to give their permission to migrate their account and their submitted bugs over to the new Mojira Cloud. Players will be given the following choices during this migration:
- Yes, I consent to the transfer of both my account and my bugs.
- Yes, I consent to the transfer of only my bugs and associated personal data. My account will not be transferred.
- No, I do not consent to any transfer of personal information. My bugs will still transfer, but personal data will be removed.
Players can head to aka.ms/MojiraMigration to check for additional documentation before the migration deadline ends on January 31, 2025. Those who fail to migrate their account will have to start afresh — their existing bug reports and account data will not be carried forward to the new cloud-based Minecraft bug reporting system in Mojira.
