Minecraft x Beats collaboration brings creeper-themed Solo 4 headset

Minecraft recently celebrated its 15th anniversary. And to commemorate this huge achievement, Mojang ensured it did something equally big. Apart from new in-game items, updates, and special items, players got to see the studio collaborate with a ton of different companies such as Google, Twitch, and Pringles. But it looks like more partnerships are on the way.

The official X handle announced that the popular headphones and audio equipment company Beats will collaborate with Minecraft to release a special-edition Beats Solo 4 headphones featuring subtle design elements from the game; most notably, the line art of the iconic creeper face. The headphones will drop for sale at 7 AM Pacific Time on July 18, 2024.

The Solo 4 is also one of Beats' most popular on-ear headphones. But the Apple-owned company decided to make it sound even more "explosive."

The Minecraft special-edition Beats Solo 4 comes in a color that the company has called "charged black" and features the artwork of the creeper in the iconic green. The designers have decided to keep the artwork subtle so that it is not too much on the nose. This model would go perfectly with the creeper cape in the game.

The headphones are currently priced at $199.99, the same as other Solo 4 editions. Buyers will also get a free three-month-long trial for Apple Music. Moreover, it comes with all the bells and whistles one expects from a $200 pair of headphones: spatial audio with head tracking, long battery life, wired audio option with lossless audio, and compatibility with both Apple and Android devices.

This is not the only time Mojang has collaborated with other companies. It recently collaborated with Sprayground to release Minecraft-themed backpacks. During the anniversary celebration, Pringles released a TNT flavor that was sold for a limited time in the US.
