Minecraft's upcoming game drop known as Bundles of Bravery will bring to the title two of the most long-awaited additions fans have requested for years. Not only are bundles, originally intended for the Caves & Cliffs update, finally being introduced as a full-fledged feature outside of the Experimental Features, but Bedrock Edition is finally receiving Hardcore Mode as a selectable game mode.

Both of these features have been brewing in recent Java Edition snapshots and Bedrock Edition previews. Now, it appears as though the upcoming Bundles of Bravery game drop is signaling to fans that bundles and Bedrock Hardcore Mode are finally in good shape to be released.

After initially being slated for release during the Caves & Cliffs update, bundles are finally making their way to vanilla Minecraft without needing to activate them as Experimental Features. These items are used to hold a collection of different items and blocks into a single inventory slot, saving players a substantial amount of inventory space.

Additionally, thanks to bundles remaining as part of snapshots and previews for quite some time, Bundles of Bravery will introduce bundles that can be dyed in all 16 available dye colors in the game. From inventory management to gifting items/blocks to players, bundles should prove to be the useful game feature that many fans were hoping they'd be when Caves & Cliffs announced them.

Meanwhile, adding Hardcore Mode to Bedrock Edition fulfills a long-awaited request to add the game mode to the thoroughly played edition. This difficult mode locks the game's difficulty to Hard and disables the ability to respawn. One life is all players have, massively ratcheting up the challenge, and now Bedrock Edition players can enjoy the thrill just as Java Edition players have for years now.

All in all, while Bundles of Bravery only adds these two aspects to Minecraft, it's still a considerably welcome addition to the game. Despite being a relatively small update to the game, Bundles of Bravery is bringing along two of the most requested features to Mojang's sandbox title after fans have lobbied for both bundles and Hardcore Mode in Bedrock for years.

It remains to be seen just how significant these two additions will be to Minecraft and how well they'll be received (some players still have concerns about fatal bugs derailing Hardcore Mode for Bedrock Edition), but things should come to light in the coming weeks. Once players can get their hands on these features outside of snapshots/previews, a clearer picture should present itself.
