Creaking is an upcoming Minecraft mob that Mojang Studios recently announced in its annual live event in September. It will be released in the Winter drop in a few months along with the new Pale Garden biome. The hostile mob has a unique mechanic of hunting players during nighttime and can only be stopped if its heart block is destroyed. However, the FOV setting in the game makes tackling the Creaking quite easy.

This article explains how using the FOV setting can make it easy to evade or defeat the Creaking in Minecraft.

It is important to first understand how the new mob hunts at night. One of its special characteristics is that it will only chase and attack you if you're not looking at it when it spawns in the Pale Garden. This makes the Creaking one of the most intriguing mobs that Mojang has ever included in Minecraft.

It will sneak up on you and deal one heart's worth of damage when you least expect it.

In the pause menu, you should notice the first in-game setting, which is the FOV. If your FOV is high, you will have a wider view of the surrounding areas on your screen. This can be set anywhere between 30 and Quake Pro.

To evade or destroy the Creaking with ease, the FOV setting should be on Quake Pro, offering you a better view of the world. Since the Creaking does not move or chase players when it is visible on the screen, the high FOV setting should help you keep the mob in your sight, as you roam the Pale Garden.

You can either exit the Pale Gardens at night to evade the Creaking or break every pale oak tree, find its heart block, and break it. Of course, you might have to remove the Creaking from your screen to run in the opposite direction, but you can stop them from hunting by turning a little and bringing the mob back to the screen with your high FOV.

That said, this one small setting makes it extremely easy to tackle the upcoming hostile mob.
