Minecraft armor trims some of the rarest accessories that players can find in many different structures and loot containers. Armor trims allow players to apply different patterns to armor, using materials such as gold, iron, amethyst, and emerald. This feature gives players a ton of ways for customization. With that said, we have listed the seven rarest different trims found in the game below, along with where to find these trims and the potential threats of trying to find them.

Archeological trims are a group of trims bundled together due to having the exact same drop chance and method of acquisition. There are four trims obtainable through Minecraft archeology: Wayfinder, Raiser, Shaper, and Host Trims.
They all have an 8.3% chance of dropping from suspicious sand that is brushed. This relatively low chance makes them the seventh-rarest armor trim in the game.
6) Snout Armor Trim
The snout armor trim is another armor trim with an 8.3% spawn chance. This armor trim is found within elusive and dangerous Minecraft bastions. These Nether structures are filled with lava and piglins, along with piglin brutes.
This makes them much harder to find than the archeological trims, despite having the same percent chance. Trail ruins are almost entirely safe to handle, making snout trim harder to get in the long run.
5) Rib Armor Trim
The rib armor trim is a trim found in 6.7% of Nether fortresses. These interesting Minecraft structures are one of only two structures required to be visited in the entire game, with the other being strongholds.
Rib armor trim can also be hard to get due to the wither skeletons and blaze mobs protecting these fortresses. These factors all combine to make rib armor trims the fifth most rare in the entire game.
4) Spire Armor Trim
Spire armor trim is the fourth-rarest Minecraft armor-smithing template. It is found within 6.7% of end-city chests. These are the only structures found within the game's end dimension and are protected by shulker mobs.
This is also why they rank higher than rib armor trim, despite having the same percent chance of being found as loot. End cities are also more dangerous on average than Nether fortresses, which contributes to spire trims being harder to find than rib trims.
3) Bolt Armor Trim
The third most rare armor trim in the game is the bolt armor trim. This is one of the new armor trims that can be found within Minecraft trial chambers. The vaults that players can open found within trial chambers have a 5.4% chance of dropping bolt armor trim as loot.
Players can also find flow armor trim in trail chambers from ominous vaults but at a much higher 22.5% chance.
2) Ward Armor Trim
The second rarest armor trim in the game can be found within Minecraft's ancient cities. 5% of the chests within these dangerous structures will have ward trim as loot.
This means that trying to find this elusive armor trim puts players at constant risk of the warden, along with all of the other dangerous hostile mobs found deep underground.
1) Silence Armor Trim
By far the rarest armor trim in the game, as of Minecraft Tricky Trials, is the silence armor trim. This is another trim that is found within the game's dangerous ancient cities. Silence armor trim has a meager 1.2% chance of appearing within an ancient city chest, making the 5% chance of finding ward armor trim feel generous by comparison.
Silence armor trim also has all of the additional risks and dangers of trying to find ward armor trim. This includes the constant risk of summoning Minecraft's warden mob, the most dangerous in the entire game.
