Minecraft Live 2024 is set to take place on September 28, 2024, but it appears Mojang may have jumped the gun while updating the sandbox game's official website. Some players, including YouTuber Roriipupper, noticed that the next update's name and content might have been partially leaked in a saved Wayback Machine link from September 24, 2024:
Based on the Wayback Machine archive link at https://web.archive.org/web/20240924180401/https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/live, the official site at Minecraft.net made an update to its pages that was seemingly intended to be added after the Live 2024 event concluded.
In the updated page, references are made to the "Bundles of Bravery drop" which may be the name for the next game update. Moreover, the page makes reference to the "pale garden biome", a hostile mob called "the creaking", and a new immersive experience titled "Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue."
The veracity of the leaks likely won't be confirmed by Mojang itself, but considering the text is coming from the game's official website, they do seem to have some authenticity to them.
Still, the mention of "Bundles of Bravery" seems to be a likely name for the next major update considering it's alliterative (a hallmark of major updates), and bundles are currently an Experimental Feature in both Java and Bedrock Edition.
It seems that Bundles of Bravery may finally introduce bundles as a standard non-experimental item, but the new biome and hostile mob may be even more intriguing.
What is the creaking exactly? What would a pale garden biome look like or include? Unfortunately, it's unlikely that Mojang will confirm anything on the subject until Minecraft Live 2024 takes place.
Even if the leaks are legitimate, and Mojang made a mistake on the game's website, acknowledging them would take some air out of the sails of the upcoming presentation.
Any news on Bundles of Bravery will likely come to light at Minecraft Live 2024
Naturally, the thought of a new and unknown hostile mob and biome is an exciting one, but the leaks found on Minecraft.net were pretty light on details, to say the least. If fans are hoping to learn more about these presumptively upcoming features, the Live 2024 event on September 28 is still the best bet to get the details.
It's unclear just how much Mojang will enlighten fans on the next major update, its contents, or the mysterious "immersive" experience found in the leak. The developer recently restructured how it would carry out the Live events going forward (splitting Minecraft Live into two events per year) while also retiring the Mob Vote.
The leaks on the Wayback Machine archive directly reference the Live 2024 event and include requests for fans to rewatch the broadcast to learn about Bundles of Bravery, the creaking, pale garden biomes, and the Villager Rescue experience. For this reason, it's safe to say the topic should be broached come Saturday.
