"That's actually kind of adorable": Minecraft player discovers funny pillager celebration dance, sparks hilarious reaction from community

Minecraft might seem like a peaceful game that allows players to explore the world and build things, but it can get pretty intense when the pillagers start attacking a village and a raid begins. With dozens of different pillagers and a giant ravager, things can go south really fast. However, it turns out that there is a silver lining here. Something interesting happens when the pillagers win the raid.

A Minecraft player and Reddit user, u/Shoobiliba, shared a short video clip on the game's subreddit, showing the pillagers having a jolly good time after defeating the player in a village raid. They can be seen jumping with their hands up, and even the ravager seems to be enjoying this victory.

Reacting to this hilarious video clip, u/subzero9985 commented:

Other Redditors pointed out the hilarious absurdity of the scene. u/PanchoxxLocoxx commented that this is how pillagers feel after massacring an entire village. In reply to this comment, another u/Nethyishere mentioned how Minecraft players would turn villagers into zombies just to cure them and get better trade deals.

Meanwhile, u/Spruce-Studios mentioned that Mojang Studios should add more dancing mobs other than the raiders, piglins, parrots, and allays. Perhaps the developers can add it to the Minecraft 1.22 update.

u/Varsity_Reviews mentioned that they like how the ravager also starts dancing with the pillagers. u/DragonTheOneDZA mentioned that the piglins also do a celebration dance once they kill all the enemies around them.

u/Southern_Rain_4464 asked how one can get defeated in a riad. They mentioned they have been in many raids and even died as well, but never got defeated. To this, u/WoooshToTheMax mentioned that a raid is lost when all the villagers are dead. u/Southern_Rain_4464 replied by saying that the statement does make sense.

Why Minecraft needs updates to stock animation

The small dance by the pillagers was certainly fascinating, but perhaps Mojang Studios can do something specifically to improve these little things in the game with the next major update, maybe version 1.22. Minecraft's animation has been more or less the same for years and it feels dated.

So perhaps the developers can make the mobs such as the pillagers or the piglins celebrate in a better way other than just jumping up and down with their hands up with an update. And why stop there? They can also improve how the player moves, runs, and interacts with different objects, such as when eating.

There are many community creations available, such as Actions and Stuff animation mod for Minecraft, that greatly improve the stock animation. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see what Mojang Studios can come up with.
