"This looks like an entirely new game": Minecraft player's Elder Scrolls lookalike mod pack has community excited

Minecraft's huge player base and increasing popularity have fostered a community of talented mod developers who give the game a completely new flavor. From texture packs that transform the graphics to resource packs that add new content, independent creators make the game much more fun and exciting. And it seems another fun mod is in the making.

Minecraft player and Reddit user Talbone shared a few images on the game's subreddit, showing a mod pack they've been working on. With the retro, mid-2000s game-era aesthetic, the mod completely changes the game's look and feel. It almost looks like the fusion between the blocky sandbox game and Skyrim.

tripegle said it looks insane and asked if there are any release dates for the mod pack. This is certainly something many other players wanted to know. The original poster replied to the comment saying that unfortunately, no dates are planned.

MySchoolsWifiSucks jokingly commented that Bethesda could not make Elder Scrolls 6 so the original poster decided to make it themselves. vibesandcrimes commented that Elder Scrolls 6 is obviously too difficult to make. Hence, fans should wait for Elder Scrolls 7, taking a dig at how Bethesda is taking too long to release the next iteration of the popular game.

However, not all users were happy with this mod pack. Orangtan rhetorically mentioned the original poster "unminecrafted" the game, referring to removing the game's iconic aspects. Surge_in_mintars jokingly said this is what Minecraft from the Google Play Store looks like, referring to the dozens of knock-offs available.
