The Minecraft 1.21.4 update or 'The Garden Awakens Drop' will be released soon on December 3, 2024. This drop will feature the new Creaking mob and Pale Garden biome, along with two new sets of building blocks and a new material called resin. Apart from these new features, the drop will also feature several smaller changes to existing features. Although they are relatively small changes since the drop itself is minor, some of them are quite fascinating.
Here is a list of some of the best changes coming with Minecraft 1.21.4 The Garden Awakens update.

List of four major changes coming to Minecraft 1.21.4 update
1) Water Breathing and conduit power changes

Water-breathing potions in Minecraft and conduit blocks gave players the power to breathe underwater without any issues. However, previously, if a player had already lost some oxygen bubbles before the effect was applied, the number of oxygen bubbles on their hotbar simply stopped depleting after the effect came into play.
With the 1.21.4 update, however, the water breathing and conduit powers have received a buff. These effects will not only stop a player's oxygen bar from depleting but will also fill up the bar to full if it is not. This means that if the effect applies to a player that has already lost half its oxygen bar, it will be replenished.
2) Several blocks can now be broken with any tool

When players mine a block, some of them require a certain tool to break properly and drop. If these blocks are broken with the wrong tool, they will either not drop or convert into some other item.
In previous versions, blocks like Bells, lanterns, soul lanterns, copper doors, iron doors, heavy-weighted pressure plates, light weighted pressure plates, polished blackstone pressure plates, stone pressure plates, and brewing stands, were not breakable without a pickaxe. With the 1.21.4 The Garden Awakens drop, however, all the above-mentioned blocks can be broken by hand or any other tool.
3) Baby cats and wolves get mixed collar colors from their parents

Breeding is a popular activity that many players try in Minecraft. While players can breed any farm animal with each other, they can also breed pets, like wolves and cats.
Previously, upon breeding two pets, the baby variant had the same collar color as one of its parents. This means that if two wolves were breeding and they had a red and white collar color, the baby variant would either have a red or white collar color.
This will change with the 1.21.4 update. When players breed two pets with different collar colors, their offspring will have a special collar color that is a mix of both. For example, if the parent wolves have green and white collars, their offspring will now have a lime-colored collar.
4) Bees will get poisoned when pollinating with open eyeblossom

Eyeblossom is a new flower in Minecraft that will be introduced with the 1.21.4 update. This flower will only generate naturally in the new Pale Garden biome. It will open at night and close during the day. Similar to other flowers, Bees will also go towards these new flowers to pollinate when they are in an open state.
However, eyeblossom flowers have a special mechanic that will essentially poison bees whenever the latter are trying to pollinate with them. This makes eyeblossoms the second flower in the game to inflict a negative effect on bees (the first being wither roses).
