Once eaten, the enchanted golden apple will bestow the player Regeneration II to heal them and Absorption IV to increase their health total while also providing Resistance I and Fire Resistance I to reduce most forms of oncoming damage. Though these food items are useful compared to standard fruits, veggies, and meats, their rarity makes them precious.

Enchanted golden apples can only be looted from generated structures such as dungeons, bastion remnants, and ancient cities, to name a few. Even then, they have a remarkably low percentage chance of appearing, with the highest chance coming in ancient cities at 8.4%. Enchanted golden apples can also be used to create the Mojang logo banner pattern, breed and tame horses, speed the growth of baby horses, and attract the attention of piglins.
