Warner Brothers and Mojang recently released the first official trailer for A Minecraft Movie. The film has been in the works for several years and is currently awaited by millions of Minecraft players worldwide. It will be a live-action, featuring five real-life people, including Steve, who enter the game and protect the Overworld from a major Piglin assault from the Nether.
The latest trailer revealed a lot of new shots, including a scene showcasing the game's village. Since villagers, a passive mob that spawns in the settlement, are quite popular in the game, fans of the game were surprised to see how the filmmakers created ultra-realistic-looking villagers for the live-action film.

A Minecraft Movie trailer featured a lot of scenes from the film, including a village scene where Jack Black, portraying Steve, showcases the settlement and how the redstone works for a chicken farm. In these shots, we can see several Minecraft villagers walking around the real-life characters.
The mobs were completely animated and not played by real actors. Similar to in-game models, these were animated to look like blocky creatures, with cube heads and bodies. They even had long cuboid noses. However, since they were made with ultra-realistic textures, they did not have pixellated features similar to the base game. Rather, they had realistic skin textures, eyes, apparel, and more.
One striking difference between in-game and in-film villagers was that the latter had ears. In Minecraft, these passive mobs have no ears on the side of their faces.
Another noticeable feature of these villagers was their eyebrows. Though they have thick unibrows in the vanilla game, they look quite bushy and striking in the live-action film shots.
Other details and narrative in A Minecraft Movie trailer
The latest Minecraft Movie trailer revealed a lot more apart from the Villagers. It started with Steve's backstory according to the filmmakers and how he entered the game's world in the first place. Then we also got to witness how the other characters found themselves inside Minecraft. However, the major chunk of the trailer consisted of Steve showing his progress in the game and the village he was living in.
The trailer also showed how Piglins were invading the Overworld from the Nether realm and all five characters, including Steve, ran around the village to fight and save the realm from these evil threats.
