Minecraft is a game that people of all ages can enjoy. The game is easy enough to keep beginners engaged, but at the same time, it can get challenging enough to make even the most seasoned player sweat. The game offers a world that allows players to make anything they want. However, this game is banned in some countries.

This article will mention all the countries where Minecraft can't be played or has been banned by Microsoft, the game's parent company. The countries where this title cannot be accessed are Russia, Iran, China, and North Korea.

Bans on different forms of media such as novels, movies, and games can be permanent or temporary. For instance, Vietnam had banned Minecraft, but it is now accessible in that country.

Moreover, things are never too simple when it comes to banning media, and the same applies to video games. China has a specific version of Minecraft that is accessible to all its citizens. All other versions of the game have been banned and cannot be bought or played, even through a VPN service. So this cannot be strictly called a ban, but since one cannot access the original game, it is akin to one.

The blocky game is also not available in Russia. But this does not mean one cannot play the game there. If someone already owns a copy of the game, they can easily access all its features. Perhaps Mojang Studios might restrict access later or lift the ban, but nothing can be said for certain.

Iran was also recently added to the list of countries where Minecraft can't be played. Local gamers were surprised when they realized they couldn't access the title. Due to sanctions imposed by Microsoft, those in Iran cannot play Minecraft, and it's uncertain if this will change anytime soon.
