Minecraft is a survival sandbox game with an open world that offers a versatile gaming experience. Players can choose to peacefully farm items and build structures or take on strong mobs that may drop rare items upon being defeated. Among the Minecraft mobs, a few reign supreme as boss mobs, which are extremely rare and possess incredible strength.
The developers at Mojang ensure that the game is updated several times a year with new content. However, one thing that has not been added in a very long time is a new boss mob. Besides potential new mobs that could be introduced as bosses, there are a few Overworld mobs currently in the game that the community believes could become boss mobs.
In this article, we discuss a couple of Minecraft Overworld mobs that have the potential to become boss mobs.

Minecraft Overworld mobs that can potentially be a boss mob
Minecraft has three different dimensions: Overworld, Nether, and the End. Of these, the Overworld has the most peaceful mobs, and the majority of hostile mobs spawned here are relatively weak as well.
However, a few rare mobs in the Overworld possess high health points and deal significant damage, making them potential candidates for the next boss mob, should the developers decide to promote an existing mob.
Warden
The Warden in Minecraft is a fairly recent addition. With 250 hearts of health, which is more than the Ender Dragon boss, it was designed to be a mob that players avoid.
Its melee attacks can deal up to 22.5 hearts of damage per hit, stronger than any of the Ender Dragon's attacks. Given its strength and the fact that it is feared by the Minecraft community, it makes sense for the developers to elevate it to boss mob status.
Elder Guardian
Minecraft does not have many unique water mobs, especially hostile ones. However, the Elder Guardian has long been seen as the king of the oceans. Due to its rarity, size, and overall presence, many new players often mistake it for a boss mob.
Three Elder Guardians spawn in each ocean monument, defending the structure with ranged laser attacks. Its body spikes can also deal damage upon contact. Given its rarity and dominance over Minecraft's waters, it could be made a boss mob with a boost to its damage.
Raids
A raid is an in-game event that is triggered when a player with the Bad Omen effect enters a village. Raids are often mistaken for a boss event because, when a raid starts, the same boss meter as the Withers appears at the top of the screen.
Raids are fairly difficult to handle alone, but this is mainly due to the sheer number of mobs attacking the player and villagers in each wave, rather than the mobs being extremely strong.
However, this could be changed by making the Evoker, arguably one of the strongest mobs among the pillagers present in raids, even stronger. Alternatively, a boss variant of the mob with better statistics could be added, appearing either with or after the raid as the final challenge.
