Recently, Mojang Studios gave the special MCC cape to celebrate the Ender Cup and Minecraft’s 15th anniversary.

One can see how unique the cape looks with its red color and golden inlay. It is one of the most royal-looking capes you can get. But that does not make it special. Other capes released during the 15th-anniversary event were also unique.

The reason why this cape stands out is that it was given through a Bedrock Edition-only server. Out of the two editions, the Bedrock Edition is the buggiest one. This is why many players try to avoid playing on Bedrock. The servers on this edition also exhibit poor performance, resulting in many avoiding it altogether.

Another reason why the cape is so rare is because it wasn't advertised on the Java Edition page, the version that is vastly preferred due to its stability and support for mods. So most players were not even aware of the MCC cape’s existence.

But even then, many Minecraft Bedrock players were not aware of the cape as they do not regularly check the game’s official social media handles. This makes it quite rare, and worth competing for. Finally, the challenge was quite long and tedious, making players complete a lot of difficult tasks. Not everyone can push through, resulting in only a handful getting the coveted cape.
