Minecraft has many biomes that players can find once they spawn in a new world. Some biomes have excellent loot, while others can be mostly empty and hard to survive in. Moreover, it isn't easy to find a specific biome due to the game's terrain generation mechanic.
Hence, here are a few reasons why Minecraft should add a better method to find biomes.

Reasons why Minecraft badly needs a feature to help players find biomes
Biome generation is completely random
One of the main reasons Minecraft needs a proper method to find biomes is because of its random generation. The game progressively generates any world a player creates, making each world unique. This, however, also means that biomes will randomly generate.
At least when they are in the game, players can only increase their render distance and stand on top of a mountain to know which biome generates a few hundred blocks around them.
The only way to find out where each biome will be generated is by using a seed map tool externally on the internet.
No minimap can make Minecraft difficult for new players
Minecraft does not have a minimap or a full map of its world. Almost all open-world games of any genre have a map that lets players know where they are heading. The game will either have a minimap, a full map, or both to guide players through the world.
When players first enter a world, they will witness a nearly endless world with no inbuilt map. The only way to obtain a map is by crafting one or through a cartographer villager. However, this in-game map will not show the entire world.
Popularity of biome finder mods
The need for a proper feature for finding biomes in Minecraft can clearly be seen in the modding community. Nature's Compass is a mod that allows players to select a biome they want to find, and the compass will direct them towards it.
This mod has over 172,000,000 downloads from the CurseForge website alone. It is used in many mod packs and is also used as an individual mod in Minecraft as well. This shows that the game is in dire need of an established method to find biomes.
