Muay Thai phenom Tawanchai PK.Saenchai shocked the world when he captured the ONE featherweight Muay Thai title at the age of 23. The Thai striker has some incredible tools that he's used to succeed in the ONE circle.

When the young Tawanchai faced Muay Thai veteran Petchmorakot Petchyindee for the featherweight throne, most pundits chose Petchmorakot to win as he had far more experience.

Petchmorakot has over 160 career victories and has held world titles in Lumpinee Stadium as well as ONE Championship.

However, the young Thai striker shocked audiences and showed that he was far more than just a blitzing knockout machine. Over five rounds, he showed patience and intelligence. His fight IQ was evident throughout the fight as he was able to win a decision against a game veteran in Petchmorakot.

#1. Roundhouse kicks with either leg - Tawanchai’s best weapon

The roundhouse kick is the most powerful weapon in Tawanchai's game. He throws this strike like it's a cracking, thunderous whip. The speed and power he can generate on either leg is highly admirable.

In ONE Championship, he earned an incredible head-kick knockout against Sean Clancy using this weapon.

Additionally, even if the kick does not directly lead to a knockout, it can often set up a finish. Against Saemapetch, he used his punches to earn a knockout finish. However, his roundhouse kicks are what allowed him to set up the fight-ending sequence.
