Fighting Cormier is the bout that makes sense for Jones

As mentioned previously, Cormier is apparently set to defend his title against the likes of Brock Lesnar. But with Lesnar, it is always an unknown quantity. It is not sure yet if Lesnar will indeed come back to a UFC Octagon, but if he does, fighting Cormier is the bout that makes sense.

However, given the fact that people have said he does not deserve the fight, and nothing confirmed as of yet, Cormier could end up defending his title against Jon Jones. Jones has so far only fought in the Light Heavyweight Division, but a move up to the Heavyweight Division would help him to fight for the Heavyweight Title.

The two share history, as Jones has beaten him both times they fought in the Octagon, but one of those was overturned, helping Cormier to retain the Light Heavyweight Title. Knowing Cormier, he will want a rematch so that he can prove himself.
